Disclaimer: Ptooey! is the result of a brain fart or brain spit, whichever has the higher velocity, and I'd like to think that since it's truly just an involuntary jerk of the boss organ, it should not be taken seriously into consideration lest it becomes much more self absorbed in its gooey glory. Unfortunately since now and then said brain needs to metabolize and dump all the crap it has taken under its grey matters, Ptooey! is inevitable and quite often a hazardous experience. Do enjoy. 05/05/08I suppose the hardest part of a difficult day is the end of it -- when one must be inspired enough to face tomorrow that may prove to be as frustrating or worse. I find that being hopeful at that moment is the only balm that can soothe the wounds others (or even ourselves) have inflicted. I'd like to think that Tuesday will be better than Monday, Wednesday than Tuesday, next week than this week, and so on. If I were to think otherwise, I don't think I'd care about school, work, or relationships anymore. Of course being perpetually hopeful is tiring and cumbersome, much more so than being angry at the invisible enemy. You ridicule yourself for trying to be naive and content, while in reality you're not and only by telling yourself many, many times that there's light at the end of the tunnel can you proceed with becoming inspired. The light at the end of the tunnel is warm and bright, but it's not the end. Nobody ever told us about the next tunnel that quickly draws us into the shade and gloom once more. I guess it's just one of those little secrets of life we have to find out ourselves. Tunnel, light, tunnel, light; it goes on and on. I wonder how people who don't love what they're doing can wake up in the morning, dress up, face the crowd, labor, and swallow their souls. There must be a greater force at work than the sense of responsibility. If only I can put a name to it so I know who to thank and to blame whenever I feel like quitting and finally deciding not to. (a part of me, the cynical one, the one who hates it when I go sentimental and whiny, twists my ear and says, "Do you still want to live or not? Living ain't exactly cheap, you know?") Ah, survival. |

S.h.a.t.t.e.r Author: Ranier Series: Eyeshield 21 Rating: G (I never thought I would write an ES21 fanfic without him—-this rating hurts in a lot of ways) Summary: [Spoiler chp. 258] Facing monster made of human flesh and the hereafter. [Hiruma x Mamori] ( ... lifeline threatened... )A/N: I wrote this in about two hours so there will be some errors (language-wise and content-wise), which I'll apologize for now. If you find one, alert me to prompt speedy correction. Why was I in such a hurry? Well, because I wanted to capture that mix of emotions I felt after reading chp. 258 while it was still piping hot, fresh, and raw. That chapter was so shocking it sent me running to MSWord for fear that what I felt inside might spill out in form of real tears. This is the result. |

Oh, wow. I'm seeing LJ again. *sparkles* It is so hard to get into the LJ homepage from Beijing, I don't know why -- though most probably because of the same reason I still couldn't access Wikipedia. The proxy sites aren't working for this one. I think I've missed about half a year of news and even though I am very put out, am not willing, for the sake of my morning brain, to go and hunt them down. So, please. If you have a minute or two, lemme know how you've been doing. I would love to hear about it. ( Miss Beijing )

Howdy. It's four days and counting since I arrived at Jakarta, Indonesia and I'm already entering the critical phase of Internet Withdrawal. Let me explain. I have a Dial-up connection, which means trying very hard not to chew my nails off completely while the connection, once again, fails to get established, and discovering that I will not get my weekly fix of manga titles since downloading is made impossible by the Fairy Godfathers of S.L.O.W. Oh, and the CPU has no USB drive. *ded* This last fact killed me twice over because I've now realized I cannot access my resume, my fanfics, or my other works--which in turn means that I cannot continue what I've been working on for the past three months. SWEET. Gotta go. The minutes are ticking, the mosquitoes are biting, and mommy dearest is coming. |

Gold medalist, bud. O_o *blinksblinks* What did my aunt and uncle feed him?! This was the kid I used to play tag with, zomg, and now he's all world-class thingie watchamacallit. Dayum. Now, in family gathering, I won't be able to bully him anymore. T_T Wahahahaha, congratz, Jo. Proud of ya. xDD Oh, and a hilarious rant for your amusement.

lucathia_rykatu, I'm going to go costume-hunting tomorrow at a mall in Concord. There are nearer Hot Topic and other stores there. ^_^ You said that there's already a Rhode in the cosplay group, but I assume that the cosplayer is going to wear the costume we first saw Rhode in (the one with umbrella). If that's the case, then maybe I should cosplay her second costume. ( Rhode v.02 (vol. 05 chp. 43 -- Sir Ticky Mick's appearance) )ETA:It took me five hours to get the specific stuff I wanted. *beams* And I still haven't gotten the black jacket yet. Should I get an umbrella with pumpkin? Or should I go with a thick book and a quill? Will go to the halloween costume store tomorrow. :3 |
